Learning to be in the moment
I don’t know about you, but as a busy Mom, it often can feel nearly impossible to be in the moment. Running to the next task in order to get it done so things move smoothly through and everything and everyone has been fed, clean and happy.
No matter how many things you need to do in a day, it is so important when you are doing them to be in the moment. This will not slow you down from the task you are completing, but help you enjoy what is in front of you and connect with yourself.
Take this moment to stop and listen… do you hear the ticking of a clock, cars driving by, the wind blowing or people talking? What can you hear? Now take a moment to scan the room you are in and take notice of everything that surrounds you. Look high and low slowly. Do you see colours, patterns that you may have not noticed before?
This is truly what it feels to be present or in the moment. There are no judgements but observation. When we are running around and disconnected, we cannot feel, hear, touch, taste the beauty of life we are living.
Approach each part of your day, focusing on being in the moment. Because life is precious and so are you, so you do not want to miss it!
